LE GRAND PRIX AFEX 2016

Dans le cadre de ses missions, l’AFEX, Architectes français à l’export, organise depuis 2010 le Grand Prix AFEX de l’architecture française dans le monde.
L’édition 2016 - organisée avec le soutien du Ministère de la culture et de la communication & du Ministère des affaires étrangères et du développement international, en partenariat avec la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine - récompense des bâtiments livrés à l’étranger par des architectes français entre le 1er janvier 2014 et le 31 décembre 2015.
Le Jury a dans un premier temps sélectionné dix réalisations de grande qualité, présentées ci-dessous par ordre alphabétique d’agence

Ce Palmarès 2016, riche de la diversité des projets retenus et des agences qui les ont portés, a été présenté lors de la cérémonie de remise des AFEX Awards au MIPIM le 17 mars dernier.
Le Lauréat
A l’issue du 2ème tour du Jury (liste jointe) qui s’est tenu jeudi 24 mars à la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, le Musée National Estonien à Tartu, Estonie, de l’agence DGT (Dorell.Ghotmeh.Tane/Architectes) a été déclaré à l’unanimité Lauréat de l’édition 2016.
Ce bâtiment très fort, défini par ses auteurs comme un « champ de mémoire », a été proposé par une jeune agence multiculturelle dont les trois associés (promotion AJAP 2008) ont choisi de travailler en France.
Le projet, gagné à l’issue d’une compétition internationale, a fait le pari d’une réponse décalée par rapport aux attendus du concours. La pertinence de la proposition a été gagnante et très bien accueillie tant au plan local qu’international.
Le Grand Prix AFEX sera remis à son récipiendaire le 26 Mai prochain au Palais Zorzi, à Venise, la veille de l’inauguration officielle du Pavillon français de la Biennale.

L'historique de l'édition 2016
Suite à notre appel à projets - 35 projets répondant aux critères du Grand Prix sont arrivés à l’AFEX. Une très bonne moisson de bâtiments de grande qualité - livrés à l’étranger par des architectes français ces deux dernières années.

As part of its activities, since 2010 French Architects Overseas (AFEX) organizes the AFEX Grand Prix for French architecture throughout the world.
Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development in partnership with the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, the 2016 edition rewards buildings delivered abroad by French architects between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2015.
The jury initially shortlisted the ten high-quality projects listed below alphabetically by practice

Enriched by the diversity of the projects retained and the practices that produced them, the 2016 shortlisted projects were presented on March 17th at MIPIM during the AFEX Awards ceremony.
AWARD WINNER
After the second session of the jury (list in attachment) held Thursday, March 24th at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, the Estonian National Museum in Tartu, Estonia by the DGT (Dorell.Ghotmeh .Tane/Architects) practice was unanimously declared the winner of the 2016 edition.
Defined by its designers as a "Memory Field", this assertive building was proposed by a young international practice whose three partners (promotion AJAP 2008) chose to work in France.
Won by international competition, the project proposed a solution outside the competition brief. The pertinence of the winning proposal was highly appreciated both locally and internationally.
The AFEX Grand Prix will be awarded to the winners on May 26th in the Palazzo Zorzi, Venice, the day before the official opening of the Biennale French Pavilion.
