….Depuis de longues années, l'AFEX travaille au développement de programmes d'échanges internationaux pour accueillir en France de jeunes architectes et urbanises du monde entier.
L'AFEX et ses partenaires institutionnels accueillent en 2023, trois programmes d'échanges internationaux avec l'Inde, la Chine et la Côte d'Ivoire ( voir l’interview ci-dessous).
En fonction des volontés et possibilités locales, ces programmes ont vocation à être reproduits avec de jeunes professionnels de différentes nationalités.

For many years, AFEX has worked to develop international exchange programs to welcome young architects and urban planners from around the world to France.
AFEX and its institutional partners are hosting three international exchange programs in 2023 with India, China and Ivory Coast (interview below).
Depending on local desire and possibilities, these programs are intended to be reproduced, in different ways, with young professionals of other nationalities.

….A l’initiative de l’AFEX et largement initié par l’agence ENIA, très présente en Inde, 5 jeunes professionnels indiens sont reçus chaque année pour six mois dans les agences des membres de l’AFEX. Ce programme exemplaire (Young Urban Designers and Architects Programme) est réalisé avec le soutien du Ministère de la Transition écologique, le Ministère de la Culture et l’Institut français en Inde.

At the initiative of AFEX, and largely initiated by the ENIA agency, very present in India, 5 young Indian professionals are received each year for six months in the agencies of AFEX members. This exemplary program (Young Urban Designers and Architects Program) is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Ministry of Culture and the French Institute in India.

….Ce programme permet à cinq jeunes urbanistes et architectes déjà en exercice dans leur pays de bénéficier d'une formation théorique et professionnelle complémentaire au sein d'agences françaises d'architecture pendant 6 mois.

….Il a pour objectif d'approfondir la coopération franco-indienne dans le domaine du développement urbain durable, conformément aux accords intergouvernementaux, tout en contribuant au rayonnement de l'expertise française à l'international.

Its objective is to deepen Franco-Indian cooperation in the field of sustainable urban development, in accordance with intergovernmental agreements, while contributing to the influence of French expertise internationally.

….Il est organisé en 4 séquences :
- Une semaine de formation initiale pilotée par le MTES* le MC et l’AFEX à Paris, notamment axée sur l'organisation institutionnelle française et les réalisations récentes en matière d'aménagement urbain et d'architecture ;
- Un stage de 6 mois au sein de 5 agences d'urbanisme et d'architecture françaises ;
- Un atelier d'une durée d'une semaine, organisé en milieu de stage à l'école de Paris Belleville, en lien avec les élèves de diplôme de spécialisation et d'approfondissement en architecture ;
- Une séquence d'évaluation du programme et de présentation de projets professionnels par les stagiaires, à Paris et à Dehli.

It is organized into 4 sequences:
- One week of initial training led by the MTES*, MC and AFEX in Paris, particularly focused on French institutional organization and recent achievements in urban planning and architecture;
- A 6-month internship within 5 French town planning and architecture agencies;
- A week-long workshop, organized in the middle of the stage at the Paris Belleville school, in conjunction with students of specialization and advanced diploma in architecture;
- A sequence of program evaluation and presentation of professional projects by the trainees, in Paris and Delhi.

….Les agences rémunèrent les stagiaires à hauteur de 1 100 euros par mois au minimum. Ils reçoivent également 300 euros par mois de l'Institut français en Inde ainsi qu'une bourse de sécurité sociale pour une valeur de 110 euros par mois.

Agencies pay interns a minimum of 1,100 euros per month. They also receive 300 euros per month from the French Institute in India as well as a social security grant worth 110 euros per month.

….Les stagiaires chinois..CHINESE INTERNS….
….Depuis de nombreuses années, dans le sillage du programme des 150 architectes chinois du “programme présidentiel” (1995-2005), l’AFEX gère la venue de stagiaires urbanistes chinois dans les agences françaises.
La sélection est organisée avec le Ministère de la Transition écologique et solidaire, le Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères, les services Culturels de l’Ambassade de France à Pékin et le Ministère chinois de la construction.
Ce programme consiste en la venue en France pour une période de deux mois et demi, 4 à 10 stagiaires chinois, non rémunérés, d’un profil similaire à celui des indiens cité plus haut.
Avec la fin de la politique du zéro covid et la réouverture de la Chine, nous relançons en 2023 - avec le Ministère de la Transition écologique et de la Cohésion des territoires et l’Ambassade de France en Chine - le programme d’accueil des « 150 urbanistes chinois en France » avec l’arrivée de quatre stagiaires urbanistes chinois en France en octobre 2023.
L’AFEX est chargée de préparer et gérer l’accueil en France de ces stagiaires dans les agences d’architecture et d’urbanisme françaises qui le souhaitent (plus particulièrement celles qui ont un lien avec la Chine).

For many years, in the wake of the program of 150 Chinese architects of the “presidential program” (1995-2005), AFEX has managed the room of Chinese urban planner trainees in French agencies.
The selection is organized with the Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Ministry of Construction.
This program consists of the room in France for a period of two and a half months, 4 to 10 Chinese interns, unpaid, with a profile similar to that of the Indians mentioned above.
With the end of the zero covid policy and the reopening of China, we are relaunching in 2023 - with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion and the French Embassy in China - the program to welcome " 150 Chinese urban planners in France” with the arrival of four Chinese urban planner trainees in France in October 2023.
AFEX is responsible for preparing and managing the reception in France of these interns in French architecture and town planning agencies that wish them (more particularly those with a link with China).

….L’AFEX a lancé en mars 2023 la première session d’accueil de jeunes architectes africains, en partenariat avec le ministère de la Transition écologique et de la Cohésion des territoires, le ministère de la Culture, le ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères & l’école d’architecture Paris-la Villette côté français, et le CNOACI (Conseil National de l’Ordre des architectes ivoiriens) côté africain.
Le programme JACIF (Jeunes Architectes de Côte d’Ivoire en France) vise à promouvoir le savoir-faire français en matière de ville durable en Côte d’Ivoire, enjeu stratégique pour le pays qui connait une urbanisation exceptionnelle, entraînée par la croissance démographique.
L’association est chargée de préparer et gérer la venue en France de ces stagiaires et de les placer dans des agences françaises.

In March 2023, AFEX launched the first welcoming session for young African architects, in partnership with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Europe and Business foreign & the Paris-la Villette school of architecture on the French side, and the CNOACI (National Council of the Order of Ivorian Architects) on the African side.
The JACIF (Young Architects of Ivory Coast in France) program aims to promote French know-how in sustainable cities in Ivory Coast, a strategic issue for the country which is experiencing exceptional urbanization, driven by demographic growth.
The association is responsible for preparing and managing the arrival in France of these interns and placing them in French agencies.
