….Le Grand Prix AFEX 2025 de l’architecture française dans le monde a été décerné à l’agence And Studio, Duccio Cardelli et Ning Wang, pour le Centre Culturel de Chengdu, en Chine.
Ce projet livré en 2023, d’une surface de 1 200 m2, est situé dans la nouvelle zone expérimentale de Tianfu à Chengdu, en Chine, une région au riche patrimoine naturel et culturel.
Inspiré par une oie sauvage prenant son envol, le bâtiment se fond dans son environnement naturel en utilisant des matériaux tels que le bambou et des murs-rideaux en verre.
Ce centre culturel représente à la fois une vitrine pour le développement de la ville et un témoin de la construction de cette zone. Ce positionnement singulier, "voir et être vu", a guidé l'ensemble de la conception du projet. Il incarne le nouveau paradigme de la "ville de croissance naturelle".

AFEX 2025 Grand Prix for French architecture overseas was awarded to And Studio, Duccio Cardelli and Ning Wang, for the Chengdu Cultural Center, China.
Scheduled for completion in 2023, the 1,200 m2 project is located in the new Tianfu experimental zone in Chengdu, China, a region with a rich natural and cultural heritage.
Inspired by a wild goose taking flight, the building blends into its natural surroundings using materials such as bamboo and glass curtain walls.
This cultural center represents both a showcase for the city's development and a witness to the construction of this area. This singular positioning,
to "see and be seen", guided the entire design process. It embodies the new paradigm of the "city of natural growth".

….Fruit d’un partenariat avec le French Design by Via, le Prix Spécial du Jury pour l’architecture et le design, vient saluer la réalisation d’une maison individuelle réalisée par l’architecte Gaëtan Le Penhuel et ses équipes.
Chaque pièce est prolongée par un espace extérieur, véritable pièce miroir : patios plantés ou grande terrasse ombragée. Les grandes fenêtres disparaissent dans les murs une fois ouvertes. Elles viennent cadrer le paysage et les vues.
Cette maison a été conçue pour être confortable et douce, mais également autonome, et respectueuse de son environnement. Alliant modernité et tradition, ce projet requestionne les modes constructifs méditerranéens actuels, tout en s’appuyant sur la passion et le savoir-faire des artisans locaux, afin de générer un modèle durable et ancré dans son territoire.

The result of a partnership with French Design by Via, the Prix Spécial du Jury for architecture and design honors a single-family home designed by architect Gaëtan Le Penhuel and his team.
Each room is extended by an outdoor space, a veritable mirror room: planted patios or a large shaded terrace. Once open, the large windows disappear into the walls. They frame the landscape and the views.
This home has been designed to be comfortable and gentle, but also self-sufficient and respectful of its environment. Combining modernity and tradition, this project questions current Mediterranean construction methods, while drawing on the passion and know-how of local craftsmen to generate a sustainable model rooted in its territory.

….Dans le cadre de ses missions, l’AFEX, Architectes français à l’export, organise depuis 2010 le Grand Prix AFEX de l’architecture française dans le monde.
L’édition 2025 récompense des bâtiments livrés à l’étranger par des architectes français entre le 1er janvier 2023 et le 31 décembre 2024, distingués pour leurs qualités de conception et de réalisation.
Leurs concepteurs sont régulièrement inscrits au tableau de l’Ordre national des architectes. Leur agence est domiciliée en France. Ils ne sont pas nécessairement membres de l’AFEX.
Ce grand Prix et les événements associés visent à faire connaître et à promouvoir, en France et dans le monde, la qualité de la production architecturale française à l’étranger. Ils ont aussi pour but de valoriser et de partager la démarche et les savoirs acquis par les architectes français à l’international.
Le Palmarès des dix projets retenus par le Jury a été révélé au MIPIM de Cannes le 11 mars à 17h30, en présence de plusieurs lauréats.
Le Jury s’est réuni une seconde fois le 2 avril pour sélectionner au sein de ce Palmarès le Grand Prix AFEX 2025.
Dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec le French Design by Via, un Prix Spécial du Jury « Architecture d’intérieur » a été décerné cette année .
Ces Prix ont été proclamés et remis à leurs récipiendaires le 8 mai à Venise au Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi de Tadao Ando pendant les journées professionnelles de la 19ème Biennale d’architecture de Venise.

As part of its mission, AFEX (French Architects Overseas) has organized the AFEX Grand Prix for French Architecture Worldwide since 2010.
The 2025 edition recognizes buildings completed abroad by French architects between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, distinguished for their design and construction qualities.
Their designers are regularly registered with the French National Order of Architects. Their practice is domiciled in France. They are not necessarily members of AFEX.
This Grand Prix and associated events aim to raise awareness and promote, in France and around the world, the quality of French architectural production abroad. They also aim to promote and share the approach and knowledge acquired by French architects internationally.
The Jury's ten winners were announced at MIPIM in Cannes on March 11th at 5:30 pm, in the presence of several winners.
The Jury met for a second time on April 2 to select the AFEX 2025 Grand Prix.
In partnership with French Design by Via, a Special Jury Prize for Interior Architecture was also awarded this year.
The awards were announced and presented to the winners on May 8 at Tadao Ando's Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi in Venice, during the professional days of the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale.
